A first for COMET Practitioner training

A first for COMET Practitioner training

Starting 10th August 2020, this course is designed to provide you with the tools to perform COMET investigations.

The COMET Practitioner training course is now open to the public for the first time. Normally delivered as a three day classroom programme to existing COMET users, this virtual offering is available to anyone who performs incident investigations and root cause analysis on behalf of their organisation, or as a consultant, via four 2.5 hour online trainer-led sessions and self-study across seven working days.

The course is designed to provide delegates with the tools to perform investigations using the unique COMET process. The COMET Practitioner sessions will also cover human factor (HF) analysis. COMET is the first commercially available investigation and root cause analysis methodology to include HF analysis and allows previously non-HF trained individuals to become competent in HF investigations.

Malcolm Gresham, Managing Director of PSG, said, “Currently, face-to-face training is not possible but that doesn’t mean trainer-led, interactive learning can’t take place. We’re delighted that we can now offer the combined expertise and knowledge of our experienced investigators and human factor experts to the public for the first time using our virtual classroom environment.”

Requiring only a laptop and wifi connection, participation in the programme includes free access to COMET Root App for 10 weeks followed by a free consultation with one of our professional investigators with major incident experience.
